Share: Bought the Bag~!

As mentioned in the previous entry DesignSociety for Japan Tee
I finally manage to make a visit down the ACTUALLY store and get the bag~
Was happy that i got it but the material wasn't that good, it seem really easily tear apart.
Initially i thought i could bring it out and carry like a normal bag with something light in it.
but seeing the material i think its safer to be use as an eco bag for shopping :)
oh and its consider a BIG bag, i was surprise at the size and spaciousness of it.

日本頑張ってね~ ^^

Share: Silkscreen event with MOJOKO

Sorry for the late update.
I went to this silkscreen event last weekend at Vue Privée
a short period before this event we were ask to submit one image of your favorite character from childhood,
then Mojoko would select and put together to make a silkscreen print of it.
Its pretty cool~! Because i'm curious about silkscreen printing and i had never done it before so its an interesting event for me.

When i heard of how silkscreen is actually done, the preparation of e design n creating it seem really tedious~!
There is a colouring station for you to actually colour ur silkscreen printing!
Also some of his works being displayed in the event.
these are the few i like the most :)

Thank you Mr Mojoko & Vue Privée :D

Share: #prayforJapan

It's the 4th day since the terrible misfortune in Japan.
It really helpless to see such devastating events happening one after another non stop
Earthquake, Tsunami, Nuclear Radiation and serious After shocks.
Its so heartbreaking to turn on the news and see the images videos and interviews.
But at the same time i wouldn't want to get off track from the news, thus i tolerate and keep on getting updates from available sources.
I couldn't do much except to play my part in donation and wish Japan will recover well again.
In this situation i see the internet play quite a big part in supporting Japan too.
From my twitter timeline there are always full of retweets (mass retweets) of advices to the citizens out there how to stay safe, self defense and useful information of places which are open for shelter, public phone allow people to call and contact their loves ones for free, drink vending machine able to get drink for free, food and beverage shops open for them to fill their stomach.
people from all over the world also send their wishes and support such as
”みんなまだ諦めないで!頑張って!”
”日本頑張れ!”
"みんなの安全くを祈る!”
Seeing all these heartwarming tweets and news made me goosebumps and super touched at how supportive Japanese people are. there r such high humanity.

Thankfully my Japanese friends are all safe and sound. I hope the rest of the citizens would be safe as soon as possible. I feel like doing something but i do not know what i can do beside donating to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief fund, thus i drew this illustration.
Everyone let's play a part, lend a helping hand to help Japan stand up again :)

Share: Trip to SAM

Went to SAM (Singapore Art Museum) on my off day on Wednesday. :3
There was this Trans-Cool TOKYO exhibition displaying Contemporary Japanese Art from Tokyo.
(exhibition will be until Feb 2011)
the pretty deer greeting you the moment you enter the exhibition. its very pretty.
exhibition stretches up to 3 storeys

Yoshitomo Nara's artworks
But sadly there are only two works being exhibits. Hopefully to see more.
Takahashi Murakami's works
Those pretty smiling flowers really do brighten the mood =)
Disco booth
I find this disco booth is e most interesting and memorable installation.
U go into the booth close the door and enjoy the music, dancing to the rhythm (at your own risk!)
because you wont know passers by r watching all your moves, LOL

Reflectwo, a very nice display that give a calming feel

An interactive corner.
Of cos there r much more exhibits in there other than these that i had post up. Interested parties can made a trip there and take a look :)

That's all~ :)

Share: 感恩 (Gratitude)

感恩过量的电子邮件, 因为那表示有许多的朋友会想到我.
 ---几米

Grateful for the large amount of emails received, it means that my friends are thinking of me.
---Jimmy

--------------------------------------
i love 几米's works, nice simple drawings and simple sentences that can made you start your brain engine and think. Some words and phrases just seem to be able to speak out our thoughts which somehow we couldn't convey. Personally i did have a sketch book for drawings and thoughts, but flipping through those entries in that sketch book, i realised most of the stuff are pretty negative >_>
but there are a small portion i thought probably i can upload here to share =P
in e next entry.

Share: Nanami Cowdroy

Yesterday went with Paula to EXPO to get her new desktop, we came across a fine art gallery. So we went in and walk around and came across this artist i like a lot.
especially her fluid line work concept and the complexity of the look. I've always like this kind of style that can allow viewers to stand in front of your work for very long time because there is so much things to see from it.

Her name is NANAMI COWDROY, An Sydney artist.

Preview

Here is one of the fav piece that i like. There is another one but i couldn't find the image online
Its a portait piece with a big eye as the center of attractions and elements flowing from the lashes as the ink of lashes fades off..

Click NANAMI COWDROY to view her website~

she is now a new member in my list of favorite artists~ ^^ haha

Share: Sharing A Clip
