*The Sketchbook Project 2012 World Tour*

Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the world.

After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view.

It's also Pocky day in Japan and Pepero day in Korea.

We don't have such celebration over here but still i bought some pocky! ^^

It's also a special date to me cause i'm born on this date! :D

Thus  the layered cakes style and some of the elements that i like are input into it ^^

I want to make it a memorable illustration ^^

For the special day

Had this idea while i was having my facial done halfway, haha

quickly pen down some messy lines on random page and then rough sketch it on a new page without

having any fix details in mind (first pic) and it grew into this! (2nd pic)

I like it quite a lot and planning to make it into a colour piece on proper paper.

Birthday Present

This drawing is actually a collaboration with a friend of mine, 

who is also a junior of mine from school who is also a dance member of a dance crew we are in, 

to do up a birthday drawing for our dance teacher! 

The teacher's day one was mini, since its her birthday we did a bigger one for her :D

Glad that she likes it :D

The previous line art in progress. I had received quite a good amount of nice comments on this piece of work which makes me very happy~ ^^ Thank you so much~ Gotta continue :D

yesterday sketch done

This time round i used colour pencils instead of the usual ink for the line art.

a totally different kind of feel. guess i could invest in a better set of colour pencils soon.

the current ones are old and breaking too much...

Appreciation gift cards were made and given to our dance teacher who has so much patience towards us.

Glad that our teacher likes it so much.

DIY masquerade Mask

tada~! i had designed a masquerade mask for a dance performance i'm participating in!
we are doing a dance to Namie Amuro's Do Me More. its slightly sexy feel kind of dance. :P
And we will be wearing this mask during the performance!
Performance will be Tomorrow (15May2011) afternoon at about 2pm at Liang Court.

Update.
After working on this mask i realise there is a mistake in the procedure.
the lace should be paste on the mask before the glitter, otherwise the lace will fall off easily cos it doesn's stick well in the uneven glittery surface. 
After two performaces, the mask had become more or less destroyed because the lace couldn't stick well on the uneven surface. 
So, the glitter must be put on in the last step, covering the whole mask and brush off after that, the remaining will stick on to the mask :)

It's the 4th day since the terrible misfortune in Japan.

It really helpless to see such devastating events happening one after another non stop

Earthquake, Tsunami, Nuclear Radiation and serious After shocks.

Its so heartbreaking to turn on the news and see the images videos and interviews.

But at the same time i wouldn't want to get off track from the news, thus i tolerate and keep on getting updates from available sources.

I couldn't do much except to play my part in donation and wish Japan will recover well again.

In this situation i see the internet play quite a big part in supporting Japan too.

From my twitter timeline there are always full of retweets (mass retweets) of advices to the citizens out there how to stay safe, self defense and useful information of places which are open for shelter, public phone allow people to call and contact their loves ones for free, drink vending machine able to get drink for free, food and beverage shops open for them to fill their stomach.

people from all over the world also send their wishes and support such as

”みんなまだ諦めないで！頑張って！”

”日本頑張れ！”
"みんなの安全くを祈る！”

Seeing all these heartwarming tweets and news made me goosebumps and super touched at how supportive Japanese people are. there r such high humanity.

Thankfully my Japanese friends are all safe and sound. I hope the rest of the citizens would be safe as soon as possible. I feel like doing something but i do not know what i can do beside donating to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami relief fund, thus i drew this illustration.

Everyone let's play a part, lend a helping hand to help Japan stand up again :)
